Noetic AI contributes to UNECE's work on transformative innovation policy and innovation ecosystem development
Zoi Roupakia, Founder and Director of Noetic AI, participated as an invited expert in the 18th session of the UNECE Team of Specialists on Innovation and Competitiveness Policies at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The session included the Policy Dialogue on Transformative Innovation Policy for Sustainable Development: From Principles to Practice, focused on how governments can translate systems approaches to innovation into practical policy action.
Discussions examined issues including the diagnosis of constraints within innovation systems, coordination across fragmented policy areas, experimentation and learning, and the role of innovation procurement in translating public needs into market demand and long-term capability.
Roupakia also continued her work as an expert member of the Innovation Ecosystem Development drafting team for the UNECE Code of Practice. Kjell-Håkan Närfelt, Chief Strategy Adviser at VINNOVA (Sweden’s national innovation agency), and Jakob Lindvall, CEO & Co-founder of ALDAB Innovation, lead the overall work, with Leonard Kelleher, Policy Analyst at the University of Cambridge, leading the Innovation Ecosystem Development drafting team. The Code of Practice is intended to translate the principles of the UNECE Transformative Innovation Charter into practical guidance that policymakers can adapt to different national and regional contexts.
The work closely aligns with Noetic AI’s focus on innovation systems, sustainable and inclusive growth, and developing practical policy tools for governments and international organisations.
